Update Jan 2010 - In September 2009 I celebrated my 54th birthday by riding my bike across Nevada via the loneliest highway in America, highway 50! Words cannot explain the beauty in this event! I have been lucky to have good health so far and look forward to many more rides. I named my bike "Mid-Life Journey". (not crisis!)
Thomas and I still live in Stagecoach Nevada off of highway 50 and I continue to train on my bike on this endless road. I am a music teacher in Fernley and Thomas is Director of Residential Treatment for Carson Communtiy Counseling. My oldest son ,Josh, is still an officer in the United States Navy based in San Diego getting ready to deploy to the middle east and won't return until Oct. With a wife, Brigitte, and one year old son, Matt, and baby girl Mila Margaret due in June, I'm sure they are stressed. We all wish he could be here for Mila's birth in June.
Seth (youngest son) and Jessica live, work and go to school in Chico CA. Seth and I, along with some co-teachers of mine, will be riding the Wildflower Century ride in April. We will also do the Tahoe tour in Sept. with classmate Mike Wentworth when he returns from overseas duty this year.
