2023 - Carolyn Louise Pryor Dunham Williams here, and here is my bio: I went to San Jose State University, and received my BS in Occupational Therapy in December of 1977. David Dunham and I married in 1975, and had one son, Jon David Dunham, in 1980. After 10 years together, we separated in 1982, and I moved to Santa Rosa near my brother and niece. We divorced a couple years later. I finally took a “real” job in my profession as an OTR (after the unrelated college job that continued until I got to be a stay-at-home mom for 2 years). I started at Sonoma Developmental Center (fancy name for the state hospital we visited on a class field trip somewhere along the line) in September 1982, and worked there 7 years. There I met and married Hank Williams Jr (not the musical one) in1985, lived together first in Santa Rosa, then in Boyes Hot Springs near Sonoma in the beautiful wine country. Hank took a job opportunity in Las Vegas after we visited there, and moved there in 1989, just before the big earthquake (we were watching the start of the World Series between our 2 favorite teams, Giants and A’s; in the chaotic aftermath, did they ever finish?). I started working as an OTR in a Physical Rehabilitation unit at Sunrise Hospital in February 1990, where I stayed over 20 years until I transferred to the new sister hospital closer to our home, full time for a year, then 2 weekends/month for a year while I prepped the house for sale and moved (several trips with my dog and little trailer) to Lincoln, Nebraska, where Hank was already. I retired early to care for him, my older ailing husband. We moved there to be near my son and his growing family. Hank passed away in 2018. I now have 4 grandchildren. I also have a gentleman friend who is an OTR (funny to me) truck driver (since retiring from the business world), who visits periodically and is accepted by my 2 dogs and 4 cats.
