Daughter Kristina Iwata posted this on Facebook May 26, 2022 - Looking through my dads things I half laugh. I half cry. Boxes of pop tarts. Enough Reese’s to last years. Rice Krispie wrappers all over the house. An entire bag of peeps. Bags and bags packed full of little Debbie cakes, twinkies and random cookies. And I think what really broke my heart. A jar of marshmallow fluff. In the course of one night I found 4 brand new pairs of the exact same ray ban aviators he has worn since I can remember. I have gone through his piles of papers, every single instruction manual for every single possible thing in his house and collections of magazines filling the room, of course, including the most recent readers digest. The things Icould most easily find - Every single card Iever sent him along with every single picture of his grandkids since they were born. My dad was always such a mystery. I don’t know how he did it, but I do know that he has always done everything in life the absolute best way he knew how to. This was my Dad.

My dad passed away in his sleep with his two fur babies Cody and Cindy faithfully by his side Tuesday May 24th. Services will be held June 2, 2022 at 10 am. Sunset View Cemetery 101 Colusa Ave El Cerrito, CA.
