12/8/2007 - After graduation I attended Heald Business College in Oakland. After about six months I found out that keeping books was not my passion. So I dropped out and joined the United States Marine Corp. After basic training I spent three months of training as an infantryman. After that I was sent to Okinawa, Japan. I spent about three months on the island. And then was deployed to Vietnam to help evacuate Vietnamese refugees. Not a very pleasant experience. After I spent 3 months doing this I was sent back to the states where I attended military police school and was sent to Concord, Ca to guard a naval weapons station. I was discharged in 1980 and found a job as a medical tech but was not making enough money. So I started a job at East Bay hospital (formerly Richmond Hosp) where I found my present wife. We both worked there for about 10 years. We started a family she had two lovely daughters and had a wonderful son for me. The oldest daughter has given us three beautiful grandbabies. We moved to Denver, Co in 1994 and have lived here every since. We still love the Bay Area and still visit my family as much as possible but this is home for now. Looking forward to seeing everyone next year at the reunion. Until then best wishes fellow Gauchos Class of 73.
